I just looked at my notebooks for 2007 and 2008. In 2007 my last hunt was on 11/28. In 2008 my last hunt was 12/1. Tomorrow is supposed to be nice. Possibly my last hunt?
I had short hunts on Thursday and today. All clad and junk. Plenty of both too. I was certainly hoping for something better. I'm only a few coins away from being 2000 coins ahead of last year. I thought that 2008 would be my best ever year for clad and to beat it by 2k was not easy. Full credit goes to my Pro-Pointer. I've actually had fewer hunts and slightly fewer hours. My coins per hour have increased by about 8 and that is also taking into account that some of those sites had been heavily hunted by me. I don't expect I'll ever match this years totals for any stat I keep except for gold jewelry finds which have not been good this year. Something to shoot for with gold at almost $1200/ounce.
Here's hoping everybody gets a few more hunts in before the snow flies.
