with another prayer request. Loren is pretty sick this morning and I have an appointment with her ENT. Been battling bronchitis and sinusitis for over a month now. Two antibiotics later and its still here. She got much worse yesterday and this morning is feverish and isn't breathing well. I feel so helpless.....we do everything we are told/know to do and it just doesn't seem to help. I am hoping she will get a shot this morning......She was hospitalized at six weeks of age with RSV and hasn't had to go in again because of it, but may have to this time. I just hate seeing any child sick at Christmas. We have another stinkin' ice storm in the forecast for tonight into tomorrow and IF that happens we will lose power...always do. She will need her nebulizer and no power means no neb.

Thought I would update a bit on my grandmother too. She has done pretty well considering until the last week. Seems she is fading fast now :( We have been able to enjoy a pretty good couple of months with her and now I think she is ready to go home.

Thank you all for the prayers and sorry for all the rambles.....lots goin' on in my head this morning.

Praying for you all now Liz,God Is Awesome.......nothing impossible unto Him........Nothing ,Give Him All The Glory.......His Son Jesus Christ and The Holy Spirir..........BRO. Dan

Dear God in Heaven, Lord you know the difficulty that Loren, myself, and others are experiencing. You know our sickness and You know when we rise and when we lay down. Father...please heal us and return our health so that we may enjoy the life You have given us. Father...be especially close to Loren today and encourage Liz too Lord to continue on doing all she can to help her daughter. We are in your hands Lord and we humbly ask for renewal; physical renewal, emotional renewal, and spiritual renewal and we ask it in the Name of Jesus. Amen.

HI Liz and I say Amen to Martin's prayer and May our Blessed Lord and Almighty God move upon Loren and each person who is ill at this time and heal quickly with His comforting joyous strength bringing peace to you and Travis and each of us! I pray for her to be well and enjoying Christmas morning with ability to open her gifts with smiles and to able to breathe easily! Amen! I, too, have bronchitis and realized yesterday evening that I missed my dr's appt which I thought was today, but by the time I did, the office was already closed so called the office today and made it for next week and hope the weather is far better for me to get out into for both driving and breathing...the icy, cold conditions here isn't good for my lungs (making me cough too much) and my allergies are soooo bad that I sneeze, sneeze and sneeze and my nose drips, drips and drips, so I know a little bit of what Loren is going through! I pray the weather isn't bad enough to take out your electricity and Loren is able to use her Nebulizer! Praise God and Thank You, Jesus, and Holy Spirit for hearing and answering our prayers! Amen! Ma Betty

It's always comforting to check back in and see y'alls replies. It has been a trying day. Left the house in the bitter cold this morning and made the 25 mile trek to the ENT and were there by 8:30. Lorens temp was 100 with Motrin. Dr. said she had white patches on her throat and so, she has strep now. Put her on a strong antibiotic for 10 days and want to talk about allergy testing. I am believing this antibiotic will work...the previous two have done nothing for her. Tonight her temp is over 103 and I am having to alternate tylenol and Motrin. Poor Travis had to head out in this nasty weather to get more Motrin. Tonight, when Travis came home from work, I went to mom and dads and spent some time with granny. I said a few things to her that had been on my mind...talked about heaven, how much we loved each other, what we meant to each other. It was precious. She is in pretty bad shape tonight. Drs think she has another bleed in her head as she is pretty much paralyzed and too weak to move. I dont' know if I will see her alive again, especially with this crappy ice storm we are supposed to be getting. I've said this many time before and I'll say it again...I am sooo thankful GOD is in control, because I AM NOT! Thank you all for your prayers. I am going to get off here and hold my sick baby girl. I see a long night of cool baths for Loren in my near future :(

Prayers going out for ya all including granny! Strep is very nasty stuff and makes a person very, very ill....I used to have Strep throat all the time...one time when I first came to ST. Louis, I had it so bad that the dr sent samples to the lab for he thought that I might have Diptheria, but didn't .....praise God for that....stayed with my Uncle and Aunt who took care of me for a whole week while I slept and only woke up enough to go to the bathroom and take the medicine my aunt gave me...they both were so good to me!! I pray she out grows the Strep and gets over this one really quickly in the healing grace of our blessed Savior, Jesus! I am glad you could visit granny and have the talk with her....sounds like you have said your good-bye and that is a good thing for you both! Amen! Ma Betty

We will pray for your situation as well. They do have Nebulizers that run on batteries. You might take a look into that. They're slower, but they do work. I remember using them about 5 years ago on my firstborn. He didn't like it, so I'd wait unil he was asleep and lay it by his nose. Funny the things we will do. I hope your Loren gets to feeling better.
