I finally broke down and ordered a new detector. I have been studying the Internet for about two months and decided to get a Teknetics T2se. I think it will compliment my Garrett AT Pro. I ordered it from Big Boys Hobbies and Bart gave me a great deal and fantastic service. I will have it here by Wednesday. I hope it lives up to the reputation it has gotten from most of the people that are using them now. Good hunting everyone

Congrats on your new detector I am new to the T2 SE myself and it seems to me that its going to be a great deep detector that separates targets great. The weight of it is wonderful you can hunt with it for hours without arm fatigue.

Give yourself time to learn the T2
language ......... You will be rewarded !!!

Coinseeker, As you know, I am very interested in what you think about the detectors you run, and have made purchasing decisions in the past based upon your input...I will stay tuned to your posts regarding what you can tell me about this new love of yours compared to the F70.

The T2 is my favourite detector by far,i can only speak on how it performs over here in the UK but they are deadly on silver hammered coins and very sensitive on small stuff. The easiest detecor that you will ever find in terms of setting up all of 10 seconds and i can be out detecting its that quick.

T2se loves coppers & buttons.

I got a chance to go detecting with my T2se for first time for real. I went to a park I have hunted for almost 6 years. I have found some cheap rings and bling along with one rosie dime. I started up the T2 and set it at 75 sensitivity BP mode and 15 disc. I hunted for 45 minutes at best and found the coins from 5 to 8 inches at most. The detector came alive with simi deep to deep signals.I had to leave and swung the coil as I headed for the car. All of a sudden I got a strong high signal and the detector locked onto a vid of 92. I pinpointed it and found it was 8 inches deep. I dug my plug and found a nice 1935 silver quarter. Needless to say I love this detector. The reviews I have read on the T2 says it pretty sensitive to EMI. Today I found EMI is not that much of a problem. It better shielded from EMI then my Fisher F70. The depth in air tests go as deep as 15 to 16 inches, I believe it is a winner. I will post a picture tomorrow. Good hunting everyone..

Great machine!! PRAY you never have to send it in to been checked out.

What are you referring to? I've sent in machines to them and never had a problem! The repairs were fast and I received my machine back in tip top working shape!! They are one best detector company's I've dealt with on repairs!! They stand behind what they make.

I've heard people say they get better depth with some of the Detech coils, like the Ultimate 13" and the, I think it is, 12x15". Definitely a beast of a detector in stock configuration, for certain. Congrats on the detector and the finds!
