..the set of strings I put on it when I purchased it-the set they said would sound new for months wore out in 3 weeks:shocked:For those who are in the know(JOE G??)They have a great bright sound when they are new-they lose their sound quality when they have been played a lot-ESPECIALLY sittin in music stores on guitars;where every Tom;Dick and Harry(whether they can play or not:confused:) can come in;and bang away on 'em...Usually;most guitars sittin in music stores are WAY;WAY out of tune when ya pick them up-the one I bought sounded pretty good;though...It was behind the counter;where every tire-kicker and Chet Atkins wanna-be couldnt get their callus-free fingers on it:thumbup:......

i'd say, (dependin what brand yer usin'), 3 weeks is very acceptable if yer playin a lot every day.

Hey Warthog, you might try elixor strings. They have a coating on them that makes them last two or three times longer than reg. strings. But they cost twice as much too. I sell a lot of them though.I use GHS bright bronze med guage on my Gibson. They are very bright and sound great for bluegrass. Most any 80/20 bronze string will do the same,GHS gives me mine so I use them!!! I also set my customer's guitars up with low action at the nut so they will play easy. If you or anyone else have a question feel free to ask. I'm an expert on guitar,I'm still trying to learn the ExpII.But I love it.

I forgot to tell you that i only get a week out of mine when i'm playing a lot. Also i don't like the strings that are coated. They sound dead out of the box. If i'm doing a show i'll go through a set in two hours. Playing with the worship team they will last two weeks.

Blisters and all I am sure it sounds great! :)
