I've made my choice! Gonna give Macro a run!

I sure didn't think I would go this route. I am going to purchase the Macro Multi Kruzer.

Was gonna go with another well known brand that I used for along time. But I like the
fact this detector appears to be very user friendly and looks light. I think I will like not
having to scroll through menus.

I have also already purchased the Macro pinpointer.

Any thoughts and help will be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks, M.L. Hinds

Good Deal:thumbup: I've narrowed it down to the Multi Kruzer and the Equinox 800. Hopefully someone will do a side by side comparison:starwars: Maybe Monte, or Seven or CalCobra :stretcher:will do one..(HINT)... A definite plus for Makro is there customer service... Minelab is way behind in that department...... Good Luck and Happy Hunting..

I think it would be splitting hairs to say one machine would actually find somthing the other wouldn’t..What is full proof is makro stands behind they’re product,I can’t say that for minelab

I had made up my mind when I heard the Equinox was coming out back in Sept and ordered one, but now I seen the Macro Kruzer videos and just had to order one of them too. I just got to see for myself which will work the best for me and my hunting, just dont know if it will replace my Sovereign GT, but sure hopes one will or come close as the Sovereign is too heavy for me anymore. It looks like the Kruzer will get here before the Equinox, but that is OK too as we are still frozen up here.

Going to be interesting isnt it??

ML is toooooooooo Smug for me---they Won't tell you how long their warranty is,how when or where the battery can be replaced, and IF their latest offering can /will be serviceable after the warranty has expired AND if I want to find little gold at the beach I will use my nonML PI.

PLUS they Don't have Ms.Dilek.

I'm leaning that way, too. I'm going to try both and see which one I like. Both appear to be impressive, but time in the field will settle the question.

You made a great choice getting the Kruzer. Makro/ Nokta makes great performing detectors and a nice selection of coils at a reasonable price.
I'm like a kid at Christmas waiting on my Multi Kruzer to get here.....:) Enjoy your Kruzer, I think you are going to be very happy with it.

Roger

Great choice, you will like the machine. Easy to use and great performance. Like others that stated above, I just don't see any reason to look at an equinox. Customer service is very bad at best, the newest ML machine looks like it will be a disposable machine after 3-5 years or less. Abolsulotly no interest in ML's newest offering. And being a ML machine I can't see it doing in the iron infested old sites/Ghost towns what a Makro/Nokta machine can do.

I agree with OregonGregg, Makro / Nokta detectors are very easy to set up and use. Slap that small OOR coil on them and they are awesome in the iron trash.
I have an almost brand new Xterra 705 setting here that I have used one time in over a year since buying it.... just not my cup of tea.

It is definitely going to be a Kruzer for me . I have the Racer 2 and have been surprisingly pleased with the unbelievable depth and unmasking capabilities . I have had Minelabs, Fishers, Tesoros ect. None of those have come close to my Racer 2 . It has the abilities of both the Racer 2 and Impact all in one with more features . I will not be caught inside on a rainy day again !

Just wish the snow and frozen ground would be gone by Monday, we can wish can't we??

Still no sign of my Equinox, but will be here sooner or later.

Rick

I ordered the Multi-Kruzer last month and the Equinox 800 Last year (Oct.). The Kruzer is scheduled to arrive next week but the Nox not until March sometime. That's OK because some unexpected medical bills needed to be settled anyway. I've had the Racer, Racer 2 and Impact and I trust the Kruzer will work the iron infested sites just as well. The plan is to have the Equinox replace the Sovereign GT I have, and the Sovereign Elite I already sold in anticipation of the NOX. Only using the Nox will prove or dis-prove if I can sell the GT or not. I'll also end up with two water proof detectors so I'll be able to part with my Tesoro Tiger Shark.

That has been my plan all along, to do some head head comparisons between the equinox 800 and the Makro Multi Kruzer. I have had the equinox on pre-order since September 2017, now I'm being told I will be lucky to see it in April 2018. it has to be the most ridiculous product rollout I've ever seen in my life. I've been buying electronics and gadgets of all types since I was a child (1970's) and never in my life have I seen such a clustermuck of a product rollout as I've witnessed from Minelab.

Agreed... My wife will only let me have one toy for now, SO I TOO WENT WITH THE MULTI-KRUZER.. The videos you did made me want more videos..... I know on the EQUINOX blog, it is forbidden to compare the Equinox with another non-Minelab detector.. and after seeing how it went up against the Nokta Impulse; I see why Minelab doesn't want comparisons:lol:

Hey, Cal, I'm with you, all the way. I ordered the NOX, also, but later than you. So, after seeing the info on the Multi-Kruzer, I thought, "What the heck. I can get it a lot faster, and when the NOX arrives, see how they compare." At this point, they both seem to be respectable machines. One of the factors driving my decision to order the M-K is that it is prime detecting weather, here in the Southwest. Late April on, it can get pretty warm, so I'd like to try out at least one of them before it gets too darn hot.

Dave I'm with you on the heat.
Some of my fav NV sites are already blazing hot by May!

Every time I get talked into detecting in the desert during the summer, I always end up regretting it.

Two sites I really wanted to test the box at will be on the brink of the long hot summer by the time ML gets their act together, not to mention the vegetation is running rampant, oh and did I mention I don't really like snakes :hot:

I have not made my choice so maybe you guys can help. I have the Equinox on order but i am sick of waiting so i am taking a look at the Kruzer. My question is what is the difference between it and the Racer 2. I have had both Racers and did'nt care for them they were vary noise an i could seem to settle tbem down. I would like to have all terrain detectod so i can ues it on the beach but i am alittle gun shy because i did care for the racers.
