I've read the article about McChrystal and to me it makes no sense to have fired him. Here's the link for those who'd like to read it.

Looks like they just made McChrystal a scapegoat to me.

My take on the article is this, McChrystal is a rebel, much like Patton and like Patton, he has not learned who he can speak plainly with. Also like Patton, his bravado and brash talk has cost him, his command. Whether it was right or not, I can't say and only time will tell. I personally don't like anything Obama does, and McChrystal admits voting for him, but not allowing deadly force when it is necessary, reminds me a lot of the policies in Viet Nam. I don't want to start an argument, just MHO.
