Jersey Shore...How's the Beaches After Irene?

Bubby

My brother and I are going to Jersey tomorrow for the day. Don't know which beach yet, probably Ocean City. How are the beaches? Are they sanded over? Personal I don't think it matters either way, whatever is there could be anywhere and you still have to put your coil it..But I sure would like to find some goodies to bring back.

Thanks Bubby

You may having an issue getting through some of the roads. I have not had a chance to hunt since Irene.. Good Luck!

Hi,
I've went by Sea Isle today and down the Wildwoods for this week. It looks like sand was pulled off the beach but not what I expected after a cat1 hurricane. Finds have been sparse. Going out later in the crest so hopefully some things will pop up

Well we didn't find much at Ocean City. Got about $6.00 in clad but had great weather. Couldn't believe how little trash there was on the beach

Asbury Park, not so much going on... a lot of change but nothing much else...
I did just post one thing I found today but I have no idea what it is lol
here is a pic, any ideas?

LOL, silly city folk! It's a bullet. Looks to be maybe a 30 caliber. Appears to have spent a lot of time in the water, still in the brass case which has recent seperated from the bullet.
