The chain I dug yesterday turns out to be brass. The jeweler tested it anyway - said Mexico produces a lot of it. Oh well, exciting for a while. This makes about 3-4 bogus gold items I have dug now - think I'll start a new display :) Steve in so az

Sorry Steve for the fake gold chain, but you will find the gold just like you have been doing and will do again! I guess a person can't win them all.....detecting finds that is! :shrug:

Yes, Steve, people lose things everyday, but I am just not able to detect any more and right now I am too busy getting my home ready to sell, so it can be put on the RE Market and sold.....quickly I hope and pray! :)
