you used random letters and symbols which have been recognized for a long time as disguised foul language. I realize that your are greatly upset but why go to those extremes to expres yourself. Sister Betty (MA) was using this opportunity to thank all the veterans on this forum. We could thank our vets anytime it's brought to mind or heart. I'm sure that there are vets on this forum who have lost someone to war along with non-vets. As far as the statement that she made "I pray we remain free and God continues to bless the United States of America, but will he with all the innocent babies being killed in the wombs of their mothers?". It is a theological question directed from the heart but is not a personal agenda unless the founders of our country tremendously erred in the formulation the Declaration of Independence. Whereas the Constitution was written as a document instituting government to guarantee those freedoms. As to abortion not being an issue during the Civil War, your statement is correct At that time it had not been made legal by a court making law and not interpreting it, as we have now. That is a direct violation of thev freedom expressed in the Decleration of Independance. All our military serve to defend these freedoms. Even though we (forum people) may disagree occasionally, MI$$OURI BETTY doesn't purposefully attack anyone's belief or position. I have tried put information out here to clarify but not attack. I honestly hope that it is taken in the spirit in which it was given. May GOD have the Glory,

This forum is for posting your comments about metal detecting and to provide a place where you will be able to greet your friends and express your religious beliefs without fear of being singled out as a problem to your peers.

All of us need to remember the last part of that statement. I just hope that reconciliation will be the end result here and that God will get all the glory!

yep, i sure did. I used it to hide the word hell because i was angry and biting my tounge.
Did Jesus himself not go to extreems in the temple when what the populis was doing was wrong ? Was not the temple set aide for prayer and worship only? Was not Decoration day set aside for prayer and honor only ?
As far as thankin our vets in here...i would lay my life down for anyone of them !!! Anytime.
The point i was trying to make was the mere fact that the abortin issue was thrown into a place it had no business.The subject of hot dog vendors at street fairs or even the safety of kids jumpin into their swimming pools for the 1st time when they're opened on Memorial day cold have been brought up and my reaction would have been exactly the same.None of these things have anything to do with Decoration (Memorial) day is the point i was tryin to make.And here's why.......
Are your children (if you have any) allowed to Pray in school ? Are they allowed to wear clothing that depicts our Nation ie; American flags, a shirt that says "One Nation Under God " ? Are you allowed to publicly pray in your work place ? Do your children start their school day with the Pledge of Allegience and a prayer ?
You see, there are laws in this country now AGAINST all these things that i have asked you.Know why ??? because the minorities and the bleeding hearts and the NON Christians were allowed, thru freedom of speech, to air their "opinions" on these matters and interprate our Constitution to suit themselves just as they do the Bible and the same kind of people are elected into office abuse thier powers to fullfill thier own agendas which results in GOD and country being outlawed in this country that each and everyone of those people that this day is set aside for died to defend.And it all starts with someones wrong idea or wrong comment.
So you tell me this.
How did Decoration Day, a day that is ONLY for the respect of those that DIED for GOD and Country, go from the gratefull visiting thier graves with flowers, flags and prayer,to back yard bar-b-ques,opening swimming pools, getting a paid day off work, "blow-out" sales at the local hardware store ??? Ya wanna party over our fredoms, that is what the 4th of July is for ?? This is a great Nation and it deserves the un-compromised respect where, when and how it's due.As do those that made it.
I attempted to explain this to Betty with nothing but respect to her in a PM and ...well.....her response is betwen her and GOD.
Did i get angry in this forum ...yes.Did i get angry in this forum and sin...yes. Do i harbour anomosities toward you or her....no.
I took and oath to defend GOD and Country, from friend or foe, foreign or domestic. Will i do it again ? As i told Betty.....with my very last breath !!
These issues present each and everyone of us with a war.A war that each and every Christian American must stand up and fight !!!!!
Paul, i try to and pray for strength to live my live as 3rd.But when it comes to this war, i want to the first on the front lines.
And if i as an American Christian i offend anyone in doing so.....I WILL NOT APOLLOGIZE NOR BACK DOWN !!!!

In Ecclesiastes 3:1, Scripture teaches and reminds us that there is a time and a place for everything.

American history and tradition teaches and reminds us that Memorial (Decoration) Day is the time to take the time to honor the memory of those men and women who paid the ultimate sacrifice for the glorious freedoms we enjoy (including the freedom to openly worship and serve our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and the freedom to express our opinions)!! To use this time for any other purpose or agenda cheapens the ideal, nearly rendering the deaths of our fallen heroes useless! Who wants that? I, for one, do NOT.

There is a time for backyard bar-b-ques, picnicing, drinking, partying, opening swimming pools, going Mega shopping at Walmart and, yes, even abortion, but NOT on this solemn day of remembrance.

which is connected to a site that has causes that are against the Holy Word of God, such as homosexual rights, etc. They were not connected to petition however, so I signed.
We had a Memorial day parade here. There was a resturant that their float made no mention of our fallen and did not even carry an American flag. One of the high school bands was playing their fight song. My wife is in a community church band and they had a float. They only played patriotic and military branch songs such as the Marines Hymm. One of the largest churches in the area took the parade as an opportunity-to promote their upcoming V.B.S. I about passed out when the color guard that lead the parade got near, the crowd actually stood and put their right hand over their hearts in honor and respect to the flag. The parade ends at Memorial Hall. The V.F.W. had a BBQ that afternoon. No, I did not attend. Am I offeded by some of the behavior, YES! Am I blessed by some of the behavior, YES! As a Christian I try to take into consideration the other person and where they might be coming from. What I have written in these posts was to try to shed light and not heat. It's really difficult to say what you want to in print. There are many subjects brought up on this forum that I know are not biblical correct or I disagree with and I don't take the person to task. I understand where you and Jim are coming from. I knew however what Sister Mi$$ouri Betty's intent was and did not deserve the response it got. If you want to win someone over to your position, why not do it through discussion? I received a Private Message from a veteran that was too upset to respond correctly to Jim's post and thanked me for mine. I hope he goes to the site and signs the petition.
May GOD open the eyes of all concerned to the other persons position.

Jim....had you written your PM in a civilized manner and not in such a vulgar, disgusting way, maybe I would have understood your side of the issue more than I did. I understand where you are coming from, but this is a nation of freedom....with even the illegal immigrants flying their Mexican flags while in the USA. If I cannot say that our nation is in danger of losing that freedom through the evilness of abortion or any other evil thing than those who fought and died did so in vain!

I didn't party, go to parades, eat bar-b-que because I am older and the weather prevents me from being outdoors....but if I had relatives or friends that wanted me to go with them to these events, I would have gone. How each person remembers the vets, friends and loved ones who've passed away is up to them! That is what this country is all about....doing things that are pleasing to each person as long as it doesn't interfere with another person's rights! I didn't interfere with your right to remember all those who have died in the way you want....so I would appreciate it if you wouldn't tell me or others on here how to live their lives and do rememberances of the past.

I love my country, I love Jesus and I love all babies, including the preborn! Abortion is wrong and Janni....there were babies aborted on Memorial Day and the whole weekend and everyday. If you think Jesus would allow this to go on without saying anything....you both are wrong! Jesus didn't go cursing through the temple and showing himself to not be Who He said He was, The Son of God! The pure and perfect Lamb, the Savior of the World! They were selling in the temple with the money changers doing their greediness for the love of money.

Parades and bar-b-ques, picnics and etc. are held outdoors! The beautiful National Memorial Day Concert held in Washington, DC was full of music, songs, stories and praises for God and in memory of those who fought &/or died for our country!

Jesus never spoke filthiness, vulgarness or anything like that in the Bible, so why would you write such filth to a Christian lady. Yes, I am a Christian and God is my Judge not you.....So let God judge between thee and me!

I'm sorry there is such disgreement over the way we honor and/or commemorate Memorial Day. If we don't quit committing sin in our living, writing and going about doing God's work, then this Nation is in Big Trouble!!

I believe what I believe, and you and Janni believe what you believe! You believe you are sinners, I believe I am no longer a sinner being saved in Christ Jesus and washed in His blood and the refreshing water of God's Word. I don't use foul language when speaking or writing and try to explain the best I can my faith...which by the way is supposed to be allowed on this Forum without trouble or hinderance from our brothers and sisters! You, brother & sister have caused trouble and, again, may God have mercy on your souls!
