Job search update

Pete in MI

After the interview with the battery place - nothing more heard from them.

After the interview with the funeral home - nothing heard back from them either.

The trip to Grayling for the interview went well - was told there will be a second interview when she narrows the 5 best down to the 2 best. And then she said, "I have no position to be filled. I am just trying to be prepared for the future".
That is at a nursing home.

Oh speaking of nursing homes...well anywhere but especially at where my Mother- in-law lives...they have banned smoking entirely. Before they could go outside - now not even on the property. Feel bad for her and others who have little to do. She doesn't play the baby grand piano we donated in her name to the nursing home so she would have her music there. The church people come in and use it which makes her mad and worse is it is all banged up, chunks of wood from the piano missing....it is a mess...and I do not blame her for not wanting to play it any more. What she loved is trashed and can't even enjoy her habit of smoking (not that I agree with that being a good thing for her health). She has played piano since she was 3. She just celebrated her 78th birthday yesterday. Sherry's is the 5th of May and Casey's is the 23rd.

We had a big beautiful rainbow in the sky last night. Lasted probably a half hour from when we noticed it....and...there was no rain.

God continues to meet our needs. Sherry's medical coverage started yesterday. Tomorrow she has a doctor appointment in the morning and from there - depending on what is said - may be wisked away to Mayo Clinic by my sister-in-law who will be with us at the appointment. Now she will be able to get some things done. Finding out what is going on inside is priority one. Her cataract - if it isn't too late needs surgery so she will have depth of field vision again - and can drive again safely. Then maybe she can get the surgery needed for her knee so she can walk without a walker.

I am babbling I know. Oh, as I said, God is continuing to meet our needs. Sherry is back to work doing the pest control scheduling. I am getting some hours at the ReStore. We got a bill the other day, Sherry said she didn't know how we were going to pay it - yesterday I got the first pay check for working at the ReStore and it will cover that bill. Casey is about broke even though she has been working and even got a promotion...God gave her a check for $100 that she had not expected. She took a test at the college and the top 5 scores each got the check for a hundred bucks. She was in the top 5. She brags about how she got the money...but I want to kick her...she took the test and had a high score but she isn't giving thanks and credit where it is due.

I'll shut up now. There is so much more to say but I have to remind myself this is a detecting forum too.

God bless you all.

Pete and family

My wife was just telling me about the nursing home smoking ban. That is gonna be hard for them. Don't give up hope on the job search, it will happen when the time is right.

Thank you, Pete, for the update on Sherry and your job! I am so glad that God in Jesus' name is answering prayers for all of you and that some money is coming in now! Just hang in there with Jesus and keep faith and praying for Sherry's report on what is wrong and for His healing power when the diagnosis is made with Him giving the drs godly wisdom to do what is correct and for His provision and protection in all things!

Casey will learn but probably the hard way, as it take some hard trials in life for her to come to her senses and accept Jesus as her own personal Savior for sure! God knows exactly what each of us needs to draw nearer to Him and then He will draw nearer to us and do miraculous things that we cannot even imagine until it actually happens! I've been thinking about you all and now you've posted and answered my prayer to know what is going on with you and family! God is good and don't ever forget He will provide, but He wants us to ask, even though He knows what we need before we ask! Then He wants praise, honor and glory when He answers our prayers in the way that is good for us and for His purpose! May God Bless! Amen! Ma Betty
