Judas Iscariot had some things in common with modern day politicians...

Then Mary took about a pint of pure nard, an expensive perfume; she poured it on Jesus' feet and wiped his feet with her hair. And the house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume.

4 But one of his disciples, Judas Iscariot, who was later to betray him, objected, 5"Why wasn't this perfume sold and the money given to the poor? It was worth a year's wages." 6 He did not say this because he cared about the poor but because he was a thief; as keeper of the money bag, he used to help himself to what was put into it.

How often have we heard about the "needs of the poor" by people who get to handle the money? They don't care about the poor or they would give more of their own money away. Thieves! Taking money from hard working decent people and buying votes with it any way they can.

I remember when I was sitting on the church board many years ago one of the deacons said something that stuck with me.
When voting on how to spend money, we should consider how the people in the church with the least amount of money would spend it.

Amen to your post, Neal, as it is easier to spend other people's money for spreading it around and buying votes and even the members of Congress to get them to vote for the Obamahealthcare! BO is buying many off, by giving them millions of the citizen's money for pork barrel for each one's state......greed and votes is what most care about and not helping those who need it, for they don't give Cost of Living to those who really could use it, but Congress gives themselves big raises and the Federal Employees 2%, which is okay but let's be fair and give a just fair of the tax payers monies to every citizen of the USA and quit sending billions to other nations, whose rulers abuse and use it!
 May God Bless you and yours! Betty

Guess the money pouch these days is called 'the General Fund' that politicians say money goes into to help the needy then they take out more than goes in.

BUT what are we to do about it, besides complain? I am not sure I know the answer! We do what we can and what what God puts at our feet to be done.

Some of us, Christian and American alike, will actively fight the corruption, many more will inactivly battle. Most, I fear, will do nothing as they percive they are getting a benifit for themselves -- they belive the lies.

My conclusion is that we all must prepare to live in a country much different from which we grew up. (I'm 43) This will look different for many of us as we choose ways to live in a new America.

I urge you all to get your afairs in order. Learn to be debt free, have a backup plan, and learn to survive.

For us Christians follow the way in which God leads, both in His written word and how He speaks into our hearts. If He speaks into your heart, can what you believe he is saying be backed up with what is written? Don't forget that there are things that are not specificaly adressed in the bible and must be prayed about.

How can I be the hands of Christ?

Getting out of debt is easier said than done! I have had to struggle for over 20 years and I'm still pinching pennies and trying my best to get through the rest of the month and this year without taking more money out of my IRA, as the money I've already taken out, I will need to pay taxes on and that will be more money out of my IRA....which will run dry probably sooner than later!

I will withdraw more right after the first of the year! Cliff used to help me pay the bills and now I have higher ones because of others billing me higher prices, but, yet, the Congress says, we Senior Citizens don't need a COLA because of the bad economy this year! I wish they had to live on what I have and am living on, so they would be ashamed of themselves. In case you are wondering what I receive on SS....it is $602.00 a month after they take out the Medicare Payment! I'm not feeling sorry for myself nor complaining but that BO and our Gov't leaders should be fair and just with everyone! Their time is coming.....Remember to vote them out in 2010! Amen! May God Bless you and yours and meet our every need! Amen! Betty
