Jury Duty

I start Jury Duty in the morning. It's been about 23 years since I've done Jury Duty! I loved it last time because I was chosen to be on a murder trial. It was very interesting. We found the man guilty. I hope this time around will be just as interesting! If I'm not gonna be picked for something good, then I'm hoping I will be among those who are dismissed early. I'm a little concerned about having to sit for a long period of time. The fibromyalgia and arthritis I suffer with can be extra rough when I'm not able to move around.

I hope you have an interesting case. Seems like all the trials here are for drugs. good luck, Steve in so az

Had been summond many times, but when the day get's close I call and I am dismissed. Have fun, and pray for guidance.

my wife served on a jurt many years ago. The lady had been pulled over for drunken driving. She said the officer made her walk the yellow line ine in the middle of the road. The officer said it was a side street and not the middle of it. She said she was wearing high heels and the officer said they were flats. She said it was the first time they, her and her girlfriend with her, had ever been in that bar. The girlfriend testified that they went thetre frequently. She testified that she was driving straight down the road in her lane. The officer said she was observed weaving and that is why he had pulled her over.
Sounds easy, right? It took 8 hours to convince one older gentleman on the jury that she was guilty because "they both sounded like they were telling the truth".
Have fun.

I think you could be excused based on medical problems that would require the court to allow for additional recesses. Not sure who you direct that to. If you do have to sit in on a case, hope it is interesting.

I sat in on one once for a malpractice suit against a doctor. He was let go but from the medical education I had gotten from the Red Cross...Advanced First Aid...he messed up and his mess up affected a young lady who lost the case and could not walk any more because of his malpractice. Not right but legal.

I've never been called, don't think I could sit that long

Hope you get what you want for your hearing and all works out quickly! I was summoned one time after my ex left but I was so ill from coughing all the time and often couldn't quit coughing and often coughed until I threw up that they said I wouldn't even have to appear! Which was great for me! After all the coughing for years, I finally had a dr who helped me by prescribing Advair for me, and I took it for many years before I became allergic to it! Now, I either take Pro-Air or Symbecort for my lungs and breathing! These both have Albuterol in them! Good luck and God Bless! Betty

I had jury duty for two months and never had to go and I wanted to.
