My normal weekly to do list had backed up on me do to some un-expected problems such as the hot water heater going out and after being installed, the gate way valve leaked some water down a wall on to an area of hardwood floor and a bigger area of carpet. That involved two days of un-normal tasks, so my hunt this morning was a short 2 hour one in order to get my regular tasks back on track....and to see if I could get my spouse smiling again. As a result, I opted to hunt a fresh corner of a spot I've been hunting to see what it might have to offer and I must state, I am encouraged. My 3rd target and about ten minutes into the hunt produced the 1913 Barber dime. For only being 4" deep, it was a faint hit among some trash, but pin pointed nicely. It may have been on edge or slanted, but not sure as it was in a handful of dirt I had removed from the hole. In between some Memorial cents and clad dimes I dug the 29d wheat cent and 3 no cash value tokens. I went for about five minutes without hearing anything and even checked to see if the Omega was working before I got a mid tone and upper 50's and low 60's reading. Being I was on kind of a new stretch of ground and getting a 5" deep reading, I decided to see what the target was. That turned out to be the 1906 IH cent. Refilled the hole and about 3-4" away got a bouncy nickel reading. Dug that and recovered the toasted 1910 V nickel. Shortly there after I called the hunt a wrap. 94 silvers and counting down. Had on the 11DD coil with max sen, 1 disc, d3 tones and a gb of 57-64. Really love this detector for coin hunting. HH jim tn
