I found a clearance on a "toy" back in March, and being the gadget lover that I am, I scooped one up. It's an Intel QX3 electronic microscope. Connects to the USB port. Has 10X, 60X, and 200X lenses... but they're plastic and not the greatest in optics as all (the 200X is poop!). Has illumination from a top light, or a bottom light. The program is very childish... but hey, we've had a lot of fun with it for around 60 bucks. You can even set it up for time lapse... just in case you get the urge to record a movie about fungus growing over time, or something! <IMG SRC="/forums/images/smile.gif" BORDER=0 ALT="">
Anyway, thought you might like to see some pics from this "cheapie" digital camera. First one is the "LIBERTY" from a recent find... a worn 1901 Barber dime. Shot at 60X. Beats a magnifying glass, I suppose.
