Just a tungsten ring today.

I detected the usual handful of clad and this ring today. It seems to me that there are not as many tungsten rings out there as there has been in the past!. Better to find even a cheapie tungsten ring than nothing at all!

My wedding band is tungsten and comes in at 31. Congrats, GS!

Thanks for your comments! It registered a solid 32 from all angles. It was about 2 inches down under the shade of a tree. There is a big park with 4 soccer fields not far from where I live and surprisingly, Ive never done very well there. They keep the grass ultra short so if there is anything dropped, it's picked up pretty fast. There are some cities where they have way too many park employee's and because they have to look busy, they cut the grass way too often. We are in drought conditions here (SoCal) so what grass there is, is kept very short, hence few finds.
The old adage "The early bird catches the worm" really applies to where I live and knowing there are a number of other guy's doing what I do, it's a matter of getting to the parks (or the beach's for that matter) to get the goods!

At the end of the day, I like finding Tungsten too. But that rollercoaster ride! (SILVER RING!.....no wait......Maybe a Silver Ring......wait......dammit!)

I took my Safari out yesterday afternoon at the local old abandoned school yard where I had
been using my 3030 and found a dime, a quarter, a zincoln, and 4 wheats. Ran it almost
wide open, had a Nel Sharpshooter on it, (man that thing hits hard). Searched it north and
south with the CTX and 11" coil and went back east to west with the smaller Nel on the Safari.
Wish I had a Nel for the CTX.
