Just bought a Quattro

Well I got a pretty good deal on a Quattro so I bought it. It is the only FBS detector I haven't used , I have had all the others and I always wanted to try out the Quattro so I got one for 225.00, it has a pro coil on it plus I already have a detech 4x7 DD to use with it as well. From what I have seen it is very similar to a Safari, looking forward to using it.

I used to have one of the first Quattro out and mine seem to have a problem, sent it back to Minelab and they sent me a new one. I understand some of the first ones had a problem and believe it was corrected. I was contacting other dealers too and some seen it while others didn't is why I think they were corrected. I liked it a bit and seen some good depth and locked on well.
The Price you paid was good and dont see many around for sale, but I too got one again like new with the SunRay X1 probe that also looks like it was hardly used if at all for a great price, but never used it yet as my body and health wont let me. I hate to pass up a great deal on one of the detectors I have used and did OK with it and trying to pass them off to others that want to start detecting or upgrading to help them learn it. Now I have several new detectors that I want to try and a few used one I like, but being my 77 year old body don't want to cooperate I got to find new owners.
Good luck with the Quattro and hope I can try mine out at least one time to see if they made a upgrade over the very first one.

Thanks Rick, I hope you get healthy enough to get back out in the field, I'm 66 and feeling the pain, I can't get on my knees anymore but thankfully my upper body is still functional and I can swing the detector, My grandmother lived to be 95 and for a long time she used to tell me " it's terrible to get old " I still think it's better than the alternative. : )
