just gave the 5x10 dd a try on the red Racer

Very good coverage and it hits the 6" dime 7" dime but is silent on the 8 but keep in mind the small coil would only hit the 6" dime , the stock coil is got better depth as it can hit the 8" diime nicely in both modes. but for my gravel the 5x10 is going to be very good as it is nice and light and easy to use .

Until I bought the small (oor) coil, I only used the 10" x 5.5" on my red racer. I gets the job done for me, and as you said, light and easy to swing. Now, I interchange the 10" with the 5", depending on the conditions. I like them both.
