Well the brown truck delivered a new toy yesterday. A new Silver Umax. I had forgotten how light and well balanced they are. Did some air tests and played around in my coin garden today. This is a really hot machine. Thing that shocked me was when I cranked the disc up to where it only accepted copper pennies, dimes and quarters I only lost about an inch of depth. Should be great for cherry picking when I'm short on time. Setting it just above iron setting allowed it to detect all my wife's 14k rings so it should do well in the parks. Plan on taking it to my parents farm tomorrow and hunting some plowed fields. I'll try and post any interesting finds.
BTW, are there any headphones that seem to work best with the Silver? I've gotten use to tone id on my other brands so I want to make sure I use the most compatible HP's to hear the subtle differences in the Silvers single tone.
