Just got my E-TRAC...Now it won't come back on...

Was out metal detecting for 20 minutes and went back in the house for 10 minutes, and now my e-trac will not come back on. I originally put in energizer batteries and so I replaced them with duracell, still no power. I called customer support and they gave me a number in order to send this one back for another one. Just can't figure out what went wrong.

That does sound strange. Check the batteries and make sure they are full power. If it's not that, I can't think of a (normal) reason it wouldnt turn on.

I just now partially charged the battery pack it came with and now it works. I guess I'll just use the pack instead.

maybe a "failing" voltage regulator!

(h.h.!)
