First and foremost, I DID NOT FIND THIS COIN!!!

A guy, i.e. "The Coin Doctor", that I dragged to St. Louis for Mike's seminar couple fall's back found it. He was digging alot of screw caps that weekend. LOL

He's come full circle now!!!!!!!

Found in northern Arkansas!!!! Check it out!

HOLY SMOKES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am in the market to buy one of those. No I am not asking to buy this coin. But I am very interested in examining the "D" on the back. Because it came out of the ground I am supposing 100% confident that it is genuine. So if there is anyway to take a real close up of the "D" and post it I would really appreciate it, if not don't worry about it. I have done a lot of reading and there are fakes of this coin everywhere so my paranoia strikes deep on this. Before I shell out a minimum of $1300 for a dime I want to be sure.

Dream. I only found 22 silvers this year but 2 of them were 1916 S Merc's. I did not have my glasses with me but on the ride home I knew there was either a S or D on the back. It made for an exciting ride. How have you been. PJ

I'd also like to see a close-up of the D. I collect mercury dimes. The position of the D looks correct, but there is a way to tell if it's authentic within reason by examining the D in a close- up shot. I'm sure it's genuine also since it came out of the ground.
