General Rules

The Finds Treasure Forum Classifieds is for individual use only with the exception of banner advertising buyers. Those buyers may advertise their traded in, discontinued models, etc.

Individual sellers may post their normal unwanted detectors, or accessories in assigned classified forums, but they  cannot exceed (1) one item in a (3) three month period for each classified forum.

Only For Sale, For Trade, or Wanted to Buy ads are allowed.

Only Forum Members Registered for  90 days or longer that have more than 24 significant posts in our other forums, may post For Sale or Trade ads.

Rules for Non Sponsoring Sellers:

  • Items for sale, or for trade, should be your own personal property and be accurately described.
  • Your for sale or trade post should be self contained, without references to another site where you may also have it for sale.
  • Do not put links to eBay.
  • Do not put links to other forums where you may also have the same item for sale or trade.
  • Dealers are not allowed to post in Classifieds unless they are a sponsor.

Advertisements not adhering to the above rules will be deleted without warning or notification.

Hi Folks~ I just thought I'd let everyone out there who's money is tight and budget minded on a nice alternative digger that should fit everyone budget and needs. It a bit like a Leche or Minelab digger. It maybe a bit smaller but is only $15.00 and available at most every Garden Store that carries the Fiskars line of Garden Tools and also on-line.
It's called a FISKARS BIG GRIP GARDEN KNIFE model # 7079. It's very well made, has a knife edge on one side and a saw on the other.
Welded at the stress point, has a very comfortable handle. It also has a Lifetime Warranty and is made in the good old US of A!
So if your tight on cash like me I feel you really like this nice usable alternative to the more costly ones! Happy Hunting!

Woodstock, I agree and disagree with you. A few years back I spotted the lawn knife you are talking about at my local Menards. I liked the look and feel of it, so I bought it. I was ready to pay the marked price of $4.99, but was surprised to find out at the register that it was on sale for $2.99. I tried it and liked it, so later that week I bought two more. For two seasons I used it with no troubles Then at the start of the third season (last year), I noticed the grip was getting loose, no problem, I have two more. First hunt with the second one and I snapped it. The third one didn't last an hour. So all of last year and so far this year I have been using the first one I bought. So there are good ones and there are some that aren't good. Shop around for a better price and save your receipt. And always keep a backup close by. I would buy another, but I won't pay $15.00 for one.
 
And I need to know more about what digger your talking about. These I truly believe would be next to impossible to just break for no reason. These a welded at the stress point and are American made in Sauk City Wisconsin not India or China. And they have a Lifetime Warranty too. My wife worked for Fiskars when it was in Wausau Wisconsin and they make quality products.
It's true that there are better ones costing tons more that will outlast these. But with today's economy I'm interested in the money I can save today. And if by chance it breaks in two or three years of digging so be it, I'll buy another.
And if I could have found it cheaper like them member said in the thread then even better. I'm 55 and my choice today is this and I have a Minelab one too. Put it like this if I can get another for $9 and use it for three years before I need another then it'll cost me $45 for diggers in fifteen years based upon 3 years each. By then I'll be 70 and I hope I'm still alive, much less detecting then.
Or I can pay $50 now not knowing if I'll be still doing this in 5 years. Then I can sell it on the forums for $25 and loose money.
It's just a matter of what it's worth to you or if you have a tight budget. I still need to put food on the table too...e'nuff said.
 
This is what I'm talking about. I had to look on about four websites before i found one, but it was identified as model number 7079.
 
I have two of these, one i have used for 5years, now the handle did get loose i put it in a vice pulled it off filled it with glue, put it back, and still use it. I file it when it needs it. I sill have the other as backup, if i ever need it. They are very good, i think i payed $7.99 when i got mine.
