Just Ordered A New Minelab Safari..

I just ordered a new Safari from Evan at Serious Detecting's online store, It was a package deal that was really a Great Deal.With Minelab offering 75.00 off and switching a few thing's around with the package i was able to really get what i needed. The item's are as follow's, Garrett's new AT Pro Pointer,Gray Ghost Head Phone's, Lesche Digger,Sampson T-Handle shovel,Minelab Carry Bag,8 Batteries, Glove's, Minelabe Display Cover,This ran 1,093.00 i switched the pointer out for the Garrett because they were offering the Minelab pointer and i really did not like it all that much from the review's i saw not to put it down or anything it just was not for me. My original equipment that i had was old and some thing's were just wearing out so this came at a good time, I did search around at many different place's to try and get the best deal for the money that i could before placing the order on the package that i got, some places where not offering a variety of thing's or they were just combining the same old stuff. Any way that's my deal...P.S Colonial Detectors has the original Garrett Pro Pointer for 89.99 on sale, Now that's a good price...

I just found out that Colonial Detectors doe's not have any more of the old style Pro Pointer's,I thought they were running a sale and Rich informed me that i bought the last one he had left when he dropped the price. Sorry about the misinformed info all....

Congratulations! You have one of the best units ever.I just sold my etrac 2 weeks ago and ordered a safari, hope it gets here soon.Once I saw a video ,I was like this is the etrac without all the complicated stuff,I'm sold on the safari.Those fbs units are the top of the line,anyone who thinks different is lying to themselves. If youre happy now, just wait until you get it over silver! I still miss that sound when I run my CTX.

(imo nothing wrong with the Minelab PP except that is isn't waterproof. until the Carrot came out, the ML's ability to adjust sensitivity was a big factor for me)

I don't use my Safari much, but when I do, I usually do pretty good with it. I got spoiled by the lighter Tesoro and to me, my AT Pro is heavy....but then when I swing my Safari, I find I really feel it after an hour or so. I would not give it up though...it's a really good machine.

HDD, have you ever used a harness or bungee or something to take the strain off of you?
I use one when I swing my CTX+17" coil and I can go all day with no problem vs only about 2 hrs without the harness.

AV64: You made a good deal there. You will be happy with the Garret pinpointer too.

HDD: Agree with KinTN. You can get e Detector Pro sling for $25.00. It does make a big difference allowing you to swing longer.
