I need to get a good hand held pinpointer to go along with it, any suggestions ??? Thanks for any info.

Congrats....Garrett Pro Pointers are good and their customer service is fantastic. Makro has one that is waterproof. I haven't used it yet but have one on the way with my Racer. I think they are around the same price. Anyway, good luck.

I have used Garret and Makro - Both are excellent. The new Makro has vibration only option which is nice if you don't want it beeping if you are hunting at night or in residential areas. It also has variable sensitivity. Can't go wrong either way. I just got the Makro after using the Garret Pro Pointer for a long time. I am very happy with Makro. Couple more bells and whistles. There is also new Garret pointer out. Can't comment on that one since I have not used it.
