I ordered the whole kit but used only the front screen protector. The darn pieces for the sides were just too difficult to install. At a recent organized relic hunt in Virginia, it was raining cats and dogs so I stretch-wrapped my control housing with store-bought Saran Wrap. I took the roll of Saran Wrap out of the box and literally stretched it as I rotated the housing, carefully positioning the edge of the wrap to over-lap the screen protector slightly. Hunted in the pouring rain all day with no problems whatsoever. In summary, the ZZZZ screen protector will indeed prevent scratching, however is not intended for moisture-proofing. For this I recommend good 'ol Saran Wrap.
