Just Shining My Silver Ring!

Goldstrike

Well-known member
When I was an antique dealer many, many years ago, there used to be slow days and that's when I used to shine the oxided and dull old brass candlesticks, beautifully old Victorian oil lamps which have brass fittings on them, tarnished Sterling silver and EPNS (electroplated nickel silver) cutlery and a myriad of other items that needed a good polish. It was a very satisfying job to do and I really miss those times dearly.
These days, I enjoy cleaning up and polishing my finds that can be cleaned and buffed and polished! Today, I spent a few minutes on the ring I detected from a park a couple of days ago.....it was fun!! BUT....as much as I LIKE to clean brass and silver articles.......I LOVE to clean and polish GOLD articles....you know what I mean!! I hope we all do really well this week and find many awesome items and hopefully some gold ones and share them on the Forums!!!! Happy Hunting all.

Congrats nice find, only thing better than seeing that silver in the hole is seeing gold in the hole. it's been a while since I've seen the Gold. I'm due for a little gold
