Will post more details when I know and post up the clean up photos but feast your eyes on these that him and his Vista Gold has just found.....
 
Not yet detailed information, but after cleaning looks more amazing :)

Meanwhile the publisher of TheTreasure Magazine in UK commented about this finds the following: " I’d say it’s 13th to 14th century in date. Classic ring brooch with either French or Latin inscriptions or favourite mottos Jesu Maria being a common example. I can’t make out the motto text here if it is a motto some have blundered text or incised decorations that look like text but are just stylised decoration. This is a really good example. I’m sure an expert out there can translate the text if it is such. "
