Switching frequencies and a beach and prospector mode is outstanding! Coin machine to a gold nugget machine in seconds by switching coil. VERY cool!
 
Well I hope you are right, 'cause I've just ordered mine today, it was a toss-up between the 505 or 705 and I think for the few extra dollars the 705 will suit me just fine. Can't wait for it to arrive.

I don't think you will be sorry about the 705. I started with at 505 a bit over a year ago and have upgraded to a 705. Loved that 505 but I believe the 705 is more versatile and looking into the future for what I intend to use it for, it will suit my purposes better. But the 505 is a great piece of equipment and a great choice if you can't quite spare the extra change for a 705. Good luck and happy hunting!
