ABC's WIFE SWAP CASTING FOR METAL DETECTOR ENTHUSIAST AND FAMILY $20k

ABC's primetime series "Wife Swap" is currently casting its fifth season and looking for unique, outgoing families with a defined family philosophy to take part in the show. Families who participate in this documentary-style program are given a unique opportunity to share their beliefs and lifestyles with another family. It is truly a once in a lifetime experience that can be life-changing for everyone.

Each week on Wife Swap, the mothers from two families with different values and belief systems will exchange lives. It's an amazing family experience and opportunity to learn how others lead their lives. Half of the week, mom lives the life of the family she is staying with. After making her observations, she introduces several "rule changes," where she implements rules and activities that are important to her family. It's a positive experience for people to not only learn but teach about other families and other ways of life. Wife Swap airs on Disney owned ABC television on Fridays at 8 pm.

If you are a family with at least one child over the age of 5 living and you think your family would be a good fit for the show, contact us to be a part of this show.

*If you refer a family who appears on our show, you will receive $1000 per family.

My prediction: Look for someone who will fit the old dorky stereotype to fill the metal detectorist role.

(Un)Reality shows thrive on crafting and reinforcing strictly defined personas.

Since TV trends run in cycles, I would have thought this "reality" garbage would have run its course by now.

Unfortunately, like Bill said, they're really cheap to produce.

It's not just that it's cheap TV to make Bill, but the fact that they like to set up, but they like to set folks up so that they'll end up having a dummy spit for all to see and basically degrade themselves for the amusement of others.
In the section I work in, of which there are 4 of us, one of the girls went on Big Brother here last year. It looked like see was going to come out on top of the show for a while, but despite the fact that I wanted to see how she was going, I found that it was just real bad viewing, even in the early time slots, when I let my kids see her on the show, I found that I had to keep turning it off! Just plain bad TV. Thankfully it's been canned this year.

Actors are people who pretend to be someone else, and are good at it. Reality tv cast are people who pretend to not be acting, and can't do either. RTV STINKS! The reason it hasn't run it's course yet is because people keep watching it. Air time is expensive regardless of production costs. if every one stopped watching, it would go away.

Professional Bull Riding.....Now that's reality.

What place did she finish in and how much did she win?

I hate to admit it on this thread but I like a few "reality" shows. Survivor and Amazing race in particular. I am not fond of Big Brother over here either. Of course I realize there is very little reality involved.

Hi Chris.
Sorry I haven't responded earlier, but the main computer is on the fritz at the moment and I didn't remember the password to get on the forum. I'm on the lap top at the moment.
It was quite funny how she went off the show. I didn't see it, but found out that those that when voting was carried out amongst the contestants, they all voter for her as they all thought that she was the least likely to be voted off. Apparently they were all shocked when the votes were made known.
She won 2 trips. The first was to the US, where she went to New York and LA. The second trip was to Thailand. She is enjoying that trip as we speak. She also gained a huge boost to her profile.
There are a couple of shows that I don't mind. Their premise is that are of a positive nature, bringing out the best of people. I would prefer that all these shows were canned though, as I consider the networks are just fobbing us off with cheap garbage TV just so that they can improve their bottom line.

Don't watch too many of these either anymore. Always hated this "opposite attracts reality". Problem is we all know they are scripted and for me personally, made up drama is not entertaining, it's more stressful. I guess it makes people feel better about themselves. One of the few reality TV shows I still watch is Gene Simmons Family Jewels. I know it is scripted, but it is entertaining.
