just when you thought you found a virgin site....

I found and 1805 house, still standing in excellent condition, with thoughts of sugarplums dancing in my head, only to find out later that the site had been picked by at least two detectors, one of whom had found a $50 gold piece. I also went to an 1851 housesite and found NOTHING but a couple of zinc cents. Then I went to an 18th century spanish trading post and found the same thing: NOTHING. What a run of luck--of the second variety (bad). Oh well, can't win everytime.
