Just Wondering?

Where are all of the Hollywood celebrities holding telethons asking for
help in restoring Iowa and helping the folks affected by the floods?

Where is all the media asking the tough questions about why the federal
government hasn't solved the problem? Asking where the FEMA trucks and
trailers are?

Why isn't the Federal Government relocating Iowa people to free hotels
in Chicago?

When will Spike Lee say that the Federal Government blew up the levees
that failed in Des Moines?

Where are Sean Penn and the Dixie Chicks?

Where are all the looters?

Where is the hysterical 24/7 media coverage complete with reports of
cannibalism and shooting at helicopters? (which never happened in N.O.
either, BTW)

Where are the people declaring that George Bush hates rural people?

How come in 2 weeks, you will never hear about the Iowa flooding ever
again?

Thanks Steve! And this is the worst flood they have ever had.......so maybe farmers aren't as high on the agenda as the New Orleans Maudi Grau party makers, which means more money in the big shots pockets! ?????? Thank about it!

I know one thing with all the soy beans and corn destroyed food will be even more scarce and expensive for those who can least afford it in the first place! Be merciful Lord Jesus to all those who've lost loved ones, their homes, their farms, hogs, crops and such and may You help supply their needs in this troubling and disastrous time! Amen!

God Bless!

I think you will hear about it again! There will be a corn shortage and we will hear about that! :(
I bet we will see it at the grocery store and the gas pumps! :(

I guess it is already started, as Cliff heard on the news that Laclede Gas Company (our natural gas supplier) are raising their prices again in the fall and guess what, when one utility raises their rates, all the others follow! The meter reader was just here today and read the amount of water we used in 3 months.....So that bill is coming! The Metro Sewer Dist will raise their rates in July... which they do every year....but they've already raised the rates early this year and don't know when to stop being greedy. Thier rates are based on how much concrete covers the grounds of each home and how much water is used on our water bills! Are the utilities in cahoots with each other? YOU BET they are!

This is a greedy, greedy world we are living in but we Christians are more than overcomers in Christ Jesus! Remember, He provides, protects and meets our every need by asking Him and receiving with joy, praise and gladness! Glory to God in the Highest!!!

God Bless!
Betty
