KCK, you wrote about the T-2 and F-75's sensitivity . . .

KCK you wrote this:

Do you or anyone know if this is the gospel truth that they turned down the sensitivity on the F-75 to achieve stability and did not add more shielding?

Please say it isn't so!

So in effect, one is getting less depth on the F-75 but paying a couple hundred dollars more for a machine that will do less other than remember last settings?

When I wrote that I stated that side by side tests would have to determine if it is such. No ...It is early speculation on my part. Opinion only, and I like you pray that isn't the facts ....It was just a food for thought , I didn't mean it literally, and more than likely I will have to eat crow for it! At least I hope so.

Tests have not been done with a F75 from anyone yet, they are not available, But if your one of the ones who has one on Preorder...Your a very lucky man! Just remember that it is a new machine to the market, give it a chance for you to learn it and feed the forums here, we all need the info.
Anything you may be able to contribute will enhance everyone of our opinions. Some Revs to software may develope, issues come and problems are solved by great communications between these companies and the Users.
I will stand on the pure Raw Power of the T2 though....It's years ahead of it's time, and will hard to beat in ground tests or open air!

As soon as Dave Johnson sends Jeff my smaller coil and Tom Dankowski finishes my T2 video I'll be set for a while. Then the Fisher F75 will hit the market, and I'll have to begin that learning curve all over again just to give a knowledgeable view of that Fisher F75 :fisher:troublemaker! hehehe[attachment 41163 TekLEDandWireless.jpg]

The cost was 29.95 plus like 8.00 shipping.

The freedom from the wires is a great feeling when out detecting. Plus I can switch to talk radio if I wish. They work really well for metal detecting.
Many companies offer them over the internet and on Ebay as well. There are better prices to be found on Ebay under Wireless headphones.

I strongly suggest waiting till next year when hopefully Bluetooth will help us all out and comeup with Bluetooth Wirelessness technology.

However...I do enjoy the wireless freedom now.

I refuse to believe that Texas would be foolish enough to scale back a long awaited top notch Fisher metal detector simply because a select few people have no idea how to handle a very sensitive machine.

Dave Johnson is far far smarter than that don't you think?

I have never had a problem with my T-2 interfering with anything. In my opinion it's so sensitive people mistake mineralization and high sensitivity chatter with radio frequencies. Or I'm using the R-6 update and maybe the ones beforehand were worse? I sort of like the chatter- I know I'm gittin' deep. Maybe it is the people who want or are usted to silent searching who complain and call it a 'shielding problem'?

If anything the F-75 should be a marked improvement over the T-2. May very well even be deeper than the T-2? For $100. more how could they get away with making the F-75 a lesser machine?? I don't speculate it will be any less. If it turns out to be a T-2 with a few more bells + whistles I'm fine with that too.

Hi Jack. From reading these forums I got the impression that some of the earlier T2's may have not have had a spray on EMI paint that's inside the housing. Someone posted that they looked inside their's and saw the EMI coating inside and also saw a wire to ground from the paint.

So if someone with an early T2 could look inside maybe they will see no EMI shielding paint? probably a Nickel type paint.

I expect the F75 to be better at eliminating outside noise and be more stable even at high sensitivity settings.

-that T-2 owners speculate like that almost hoping the F-75 is somehow not as good as their new T-2 to talk themselves out of having to buy another similar detector.

But- that's just speculation on my part

I definately think you hit the nail on the head with that SPECULATION.. I certainly get thae same feeling. Just my speculation.... HH

technetics detector. It's clear they are being phased out in my opinion.

Do they need 3 brands? Thats Too confusing. Fisher will become their "pro" line, and Bounty Hunter the cheap ones. Watch.

Good diggin'
