Thought i would re post this story about by brother in-laws trying to change the way the run(creek) was flowing so that thay could build
a fort like most little boys wanted to do
As the first part to a good fort is it location that was first on the list so looking along the run it was found to be that the run would flow
better around the fort if it was changed by blowing up the bank. So it would flow straight instead of around the fort the two went and got some dynamite from home and came back to the creek to do some demo... so placing the dynamite into the creek bank the fuse's were lit and the two hid behind the closes trees and waited for the bang but there was no bang??? checking the fuse reveled that the fuses lit but the dynamite must have been wet so into the bank went more dynamite...lite the fuse and run behind the trees again!!!! no bang???
Try as thay might it just wouldn't blow up,and as boys loss interest in the fort and went looking for frogs and crawdads that couldn't think of why it didn't work till a few years later (20 Years later) when it was found out were there mom's Tampax went into the creek bank so the boys could build a fort!!!!
