Labor day water hunt........ With lots of smiles!......

Pretty soon the water will be cold, so a friend and I took his pontoon across a local lake to a beach and swimming area. Nothing to write home about, but a good time for sure! We also hunted a spot further down the lake where there was some older stuff. Here is Charlie after chasing one of our anchors down.

the beach/swimming area had very few targets. There are getting to be many detectorists in our area.

-Just get yourself a private beach club that you are the only one allowed into,like I have...Of course,it helps when you are co-habitating with the daughter of the man that has a LIFETIME membership at said beach club (my WIFE;of course)!!!!

LOT'S of newbies but there are also many "serious" swingers especially the beach). Today, I took a day off and went to a state park on what's supposed to be the first legal day you can hunt there. Very little clad. No oldies. The tot lots had a new layer of mulch. Unfortuately, I don't know where they get the stuff, but it was LOADED with little bits of aluminum. Very annoying. Strangest find was a 500 peso coin.
