Lake wading

Mark in NC

Member
Took the AT Pro wading this past weekend at White Lake in the good ol' Tarheel State (North Carolina!). My headphones are the non-waterproof version so I only hunted at chest deep...man, I had a lot of fun though! As an inexperienced wading type hunter, I discovered quickly I need a longer sand scoop handle if I can't dunk my head in the drink! The AT Pro handled great and found me a lot of targets. Coins were plentiful, of course...but the highlight was a young man requesting I look for his necklace. He had lost it in chest deep water and had an approximate location...sure enough, about 3 swings and I hit a nice solid high tone. The scoop comes up with a silver cross on a heavy gold chain. The young fellow almost looked shocked I found it, let alone that quickly! (actually, I kinda surprised myself on how fast it was found).

Felt good doing a good deed for the day! Relaxing hunting in freshwater swimming lake...what could be better?
