Land Ranger Pro

Hello all.. I am just getting back into the hobby after a long long break from it. My old detector was a Whites silver eagle 2. I just purchased a land ranger pro. If you own one any tips or tricks you might want to offer me? I know technology has come along way and Bounty hunters back in the day had a poor name. But from all I read it looks like I picked an ok machine to get back at it with. It is also nice to have pinpointers available now. Yes it has been a long lay off lol.. Happy Hunting all.

Definitely get a reliable pinpointer because it will save you time in digging and pinpointing the target. I have a White Bulleyes and it works well. Any object under 3 1/2" will pick it up with the White pinpointer. Also, I own a Land Ranger Pro. It is a decent machine. It will get you up to 6" in depth. This machine sucks up the quarters. I had it for over 18 months now. Lately there is problem with using the machine for about an hour and it starts to give out an erratic signal. The pinpoint button on the machine sucks. I have to press it hard to activate it and it doesn't stay on for long.

Call up First Texas Products (the phone # is (915)225-0333) and get a Return Authorization Number and send it back to them in El Paso for warranty repair. First Texas is #1 when it comes to customer service and warranty repairs. That's why all of my current detectors are First Texas products. They are the very best when it comes to customer service!
