Land Ranger Pro

Hello all.. I am just getting back into the hobby after a long long break from it. My old detector was a Whites silver eagle 2. I just purchased a land ranger pro. If you own one any tips or tricks you might want to offer me? I know technology has come along way and Bounty hunters back in the day had a poor name. But from all I read it looks like I picked an ok machine to get back at it with. It is also nice to have pinpointers available now. Yes it has been a long lay off lol.. Happy Hunting all.

Welcome back to metal detecting. I have no experience with that detector. All I can say is to read the manual; gather some metal things you have around (such as a selection of coins, jewelry and nails) lay them out on the ground and see how the detector reacts to them with different settings. Then go out detecting to learn about how the detector responds. Good Luck!
