Large Cent

[attachment 168552 Sample_3.jpg][attachment 168553 Sample_2.jpg]I went to an 1850's farm last week. I was only there a couple hours but I had a great time!! I found this large cent in about 45 min. or so. I also found a 1934 and a 1940 wheatie, 66 dime and a memorial penny! It took my wife and I about a half hour or so to determine the date on the large cent. I had to stand on my head and wiggle this way wiggle that way and close my left eye and....... anyway it turned out to be a 1834 large cent:surprised:I wish the front looked as good as the back. Oh well! My oldest coin to date and hopefully not my last large cent!! Unfortunately it will be a couple weeks before I can get out again, I had knee surgery. A couple weeks of healing and we will be back out.

Congrats on the LC. Like you said, too bad the front don't look as good as the back! But good to hear you got the date figured out. Nice find, regardless. Get that knee all healed up so you can "take up" where you "left off". Thanks for the post. HH Randy

A large cent is a good find no matter what shape it is in . Nice!

Really great find, congrats. Good luck with the knee!
