Large Civil War Marine Corp Button

BeachBumm

New member
Was out for a few hours today around an old military swimming hole that dates back to 1858. Any ID help on the button? I know it's Marine Corp but the back looks like it says "D. EVANS & CO" and "ATTLEBORO MASS" and the only thing I could find on it called it a "Civil War Marine Corps button". It's the largest military button I have ever found. Larger than all of my other military buttons. About the size of a 1/2 Dollar. That would be awesome it it was a large civil war button found over here in CALIF. Most of these items were found underwater in the mud at the bottom of the lake (Knives, keys, coins, etc.). Bullets, the button and the 1925-S Dime was found around the old dressing shack. The numbered tag says "150" on it.
