Larger coil for Exterras !

I sent a e-mail to Doc Louisignont, who imports the WOT coils, to see if there was a possibility that they might build a WOT coil for the Exterra line. He said he would check with them. It would be nice if they would build one. I doubt if we would ever see one from Minelab. Mark
 
I think that Minelab would first have to sell them the chip that goes in the coil. From what i've read on here, dont hold your breath.
 
Has anyone ever taken an xt70 coil, apart. Does anyone know for SURE that there really is a chip in the coil?
Just curious.
 
If someone wanted a large coil bad enough they could tear open a Exterra coil, and remove the circuit board. Then figure out the proper windings, etc. and use the board on their new coil. Mark
 
Yes a lighweight open faced 15 inch DD WOT coil for the XT's would be fabulous!
