Hello! I came across this site by accident but this is a good thing!
I used to metal detect all the time, however work finally got in my way and it stopped. Now I am retired and would like to get back in it again. My question is what kind of detector do you use to find the finds you get? I need to upgrade (my unit dates to the early 70's) my equipment, but do not know anything about good units out there today. Can you steer me in the direction of a good unit? I know they will cost me $$$$$ But I am willing to do it...
Thank you for your time, and nice finds!

Hey herd I use a Minelab XS I bought it on Ebay for about $550 I also purchased a an X-1 probe and an SunRay 5" coil with which I found the majority of the stuff in the picture, works great in trashy areas, I used a garret befor the minlab, but didnt really have very good luck with it at all, so I would definatly sat get a minelab explorer. I may take you awhile to learn but once you do its well worth it. Hope this helps
