Last Friday's Finds.

Went out before the Club Meeting and hunted a Park trying to find anything else that I could use in any of the categories for Find Of The Month. Found only a few things and I thought I would post them separately from the rest of the weekends finds. Here's what I found. I found a badly corroded Indian Head Penny dated 1907, and 2 Wheats dated 1919 and 1945. I also found another Wheat Penny in my vehicle from last weekend that was a 1928 which brings the total up to 85 Wheat Pennies, so I will post it here. I found some Misc. Items as well. They are a Spoon that says Utah Metal on the back, some kind of Buckle, a Charm Bracelet that has a Baseball,Bat, and Glove on it that is quite Old, and some other kind of Misc. Jewelery Item that once had some stones in it. That is all I found on Friday. Keep your eyes peeled for the upcoming results from this last weekends return to the HOT SPOT. I dig those type buckle every once in a while. Got one thats dated 1835. I think its cast brass.

Cool finds James,I have found several 1919 wheats and looked in the book and found out why 392,021,000 were minted.That spoon might have been Brigham Young it might be worth a lot of money.HA HA Good luck on your next trip out.

The 1919 Wheat is just like the 1910. WAAAAAAY too many minted and when one is found and shown to someone that knows nothing about Coins, they think it is worth some big money. Thanks for looking and responding Crow-Duck and Good Luck and HH to you on your next outing as well.:thumbup:
 
Sure is a shame to see something so old in such bad shape. It has too be some kind of chemical or Alkali in the ground to eat up Copper or Bronze Coins so badly. Just depends if they are in high areas or low lying areas which will greatly predict the condition of Indians or what have you. Good Luck and HH!
