Went out with Louis (GG) Sunday to the spot near Petersburg. They cleared land for 2 new houses plus a road nearly 1/2 mile long. Saved a few more relics before they start building. Found several bullets, 2 of the pistol bullets still have some of the cartridge attached, also a belt stud, button back, percussion cap and the last find of the day was a saddle shield. This thing was bent up pretty bad but I did manage to staighten it out fairly well. You can see where the creases were. Thanks for looking and keep a digging!
