I was asked about a month ago to speak at the Kalamazoo Antique Bottle Club. I mainly shared about relic hunting for Civil War relics and older. This was a smaller speaking engagement than I am used to but was fun none the less. There were 13 people.

Here I am sharing about this display of CW bullets found in Mississippi. I brought 8 display cases full of relics.

Now John, who is very knowledgeable about antique bottle is telling us about a bottle I brought in.

Here it is. It is a Turtle type nursing bottle. Turns out it is a rare type mold from about 1890 worth between $50 - $100. :)
I bought it a few years back at a garage sale for $1.00 :)

They had a raffle at the end. No cost, they just put several nice items on the table and then everyone got a number. The winner got to pick from the lot. The winner decided to let me take my pick! :) I chose this beautiful Hollywood Whiskey bottle from before 1880. I don't drink, but loved the amber color. This is a very nice bottle that is a foot tall. It will go nice in my collection.

Here is my favorite relic I got to share. At the hunt I went to a few weeks back I found this nice cedar display case that fit it just perfect! :)
