...season I hope not but my days here in Mi. are numbered.Found an old school house the other day,as I started my research for next seasons hunting, then the weather took a turn for the good wich happens around here often, atleast the ground isnt froze yet!! It was a balmy 42 deg.the wind made it feell like 20.Took a minute to get an overview of the area as this school is now privately owned(dang it) well they built another one next to it so decided to work the perimeter.Scratched some clad then hit on a 1930 wheaty, yes things started to look better!! Dug a canadian dollar coin that made my heart skip a beat,as it looked like gold coming out of the ground!!!.Then a no cash value token, walked a few more feet and got a bouncy high 60 low 70 tid whith a low confidence reading hhmm, decided to dig.I cut my usual small 3 in. diam.sod plug some 4 inches in depth and popped it loose,on the very edge of the plug was the 41 merc.I think because it was on edge is why it didnt give a high confidence reading and bouncing numbers??? Well hope I get a few more days before I have to shut down for the season.Sens 80,disc.5,tones.3h,BP,gb 72....hh rick in mi.

Nice finds Rick ! My season is finished up as well. Northern Wisconsin ground is damn hard to dig in now. I thought of it but my hands just can't take it. Now the time we in the cold north due are projects, research and clean and catalog our past seasons finds. And of course hibernate and dream of next season ! Happy Trails, Woodstock
