Last week's relic hunt

Hello Everyone........Took some time last week to go out and get some relic hunting in.
Got out 4 days all together, found some round balls, bullets and artillery shrapnel from an 1861 battle site.
One of the neater things I found was a round ball still stuck in a piece of wood.
Only my second time in over 35 years of Civil War relic hunting to find something like this.
My first bullet in wood find happened back in the Spring of 2013, it's a .69 minie ball,my new find is a round ball.
Check out these pictures, you can see the imprint on the top piece of wood where I cracked it open. HH.....conehead

Very cool and neat find. Love it.

Cool to find those. I found 3 in one fallen oak tree years ago and none since. This giant oak stood between Wilson and Chalmers cavalry.

You know something CSA GHOST the tree that this came out of had 2 more musket balls in it but the wood
was too far gone to save. I'm just happy that I was able to save this one....155 years after it was shot into that tree!
HH......conehead
