OK Here was last years finds....mostly I think the rest of the toonies bought me coffee.
Two rings...one gold...the best find was the $.05 1880 Can. nickel....looks like a dime, though the ring is worth about $200.
The shell casing says its a rem utc 30 USA....I can't say I've ever heard of a 30 calibre but then I'm not much of a gun enthusiast.
I threw out all the nails, and bolts, and washers, etc.
Probably only about 20-30 hours of actual detecting.
I found the 1880 nickel at a lake near Fort Steele in BC. It was in about an inch of gravel and you can make out all the markings.
I feel I had a very successful first year.
