Ran into a new Yankee camp a couple weeks ago and these finds are from 3 trips. On the last trip I found another camp that was putting out some relics and can't wait to go again. First pic is from 1st two hunts. Thanks for lookin'! :)

Very cool indeed. Educate me if you can, on the tips of the bullets in the bottom pic, are those rings around the tip from the ramrods? Good stuff. :thumbup:

Those are "wormed" bullets. They attached a piece to end of ram rod(kinda like a cork screw) and it screwed into the bullet so they could unload the gun without having to fire it.
 
I'd be going there again and again .... a few "plates" are probably waiting for you.. Good finds and nice pics. CCH :thumbup:
 
Very nice finds. If I found a site like that I'm afraid I'd be setting up a camp all of my own there...lol. Good luck. Hope you find some more treasures there. HH
