Very nice finds! One of the earlier pieces in the video piece looked almost like a Roman umbonate broach. Those are also some nice pieces of hammered silver with respectable detail. Any idea what some of the other finds are and their age? Continued success & happy hunting.

Thanks, TD. The Charles I were found near each other but I couldn't find a hoard

Interestingly, the anti aircraft fuze is from WWI

The Elizabeth I sixpence is not pure silver. Don't know if that is usual?

Don't know about the dates of anything else

...nice finds Bilky!!! :clapping:

Gaz.

The Charles I are nice pieces - I've not heard of too many hoards found from this period - perhaps banks and other methods of safekeeping were more in vogue than burying was at this time. I read in Spink's that the Lizzy coinage jumped between ,916 and .925 in fineness. The fuze is very neat. When I travel to England, I love finding the WWII things - especially since so many of my relatives served in that war. A WWI fuze is a bit odd though. Perhaps a leftover from WWI used in WWII. I hope your other finds can be dated as well one day. Happy hunting!

Thanks,TD. I guess my Lizzie coin is a fake then bearing inmind the condition

I thought the same as you that it must be WWII but re the posting below, it is definitely WWI
