Several of these are from construction sites and two old farm sites.
Pictured are 12 wheats, 4 IH's, 2 "V" nickels, 2 mercs, and a IH that was being wittled down to make a button! After hunting in the water so much because of the dry weather, It sure felt good to get some old coins again! Looks like I will go back in the water, we are going to have Steve's weather this week!

how do you find out where there is construction going on? Word of mouth, your own eyes, other??? Also, are these areas usually fenced off. There was some construction going on in our town(in the older part) and it was all baracaded off.

Good digs ! Weather seems to be heating up all over the US now. You get more wheat & IH coins in 1 dig than I do all year. Steve in so az

I have some people that clue me in when they see some, and I get invited on some sites by fellow club members. Some news papers will let you know when construction will be going on to help with traffic. I also watch for it, and talk with people. If it is not fenced off, and you go after hours when the workers are done, it is usually not a problem. Sometimes I know the workers, and they let me in there while they work. I just always respect them and stay clear of them.
 
I'm not sure I want to go back in the water without waders...there is still people getting swimmer's itch up here.
