Learning the SE

kickback

New member
Yesterday I got out for a couple of hours with the SE.I'm new to using this detector. My old rodeo grounds were frozen solid.I found a spot at a town fairgrounds that weren't frozen solid.I found no silver but I dug more quarters and dimes than on any detecting trip before with any detecor I used. The high pitched tone just stands out.I dug 2 rings junk, one gold plated band and an Avon ring,it looks like it might be silver.I did dig one nickel and a few pennies.Coming from using other detectors the first to hunts were a little ackward. The "flutie" tones were confusing at first.Things are starting to come together.I have hunted this fairgrounds lots of times before.I dug 3 clad dimes right next to 2 of my old plugs.I didn't get hits on them with the other detectors.Bill

Then you will really see what an Explorer can really do! Just takes time learning new Tones and getting aquainted with your new friend the Se. You're doing great so far so there is nothing but improvement straight ahead and more finds to be brought home. Good Luck and HH to you Bill.:detecting:
